January 6th Last Day for One-time Payment, Lifetime Memberships
Canyon County Co-op opened sales of Charter Memberships on December 16, 2014 with a goal
of reaching 675 Members before opening the store. They recently surpassed 1,550 Charter
Members and expect another influx of membership sales prior to opening the doors on January
The Charter Membership was created as a way for community members to support the
project with a financial investment. The Board of Directors decided on this reduced price
no-renewal membership as a way of showing appreciation for those who were willing to risk a
minimal financial investment to help make this project happen. The number of Charter
Memberships sold shows the demand for this type of business in our community.
Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 will be the final day to purchase lifetime Charter Memberships
for a one-time payment of $65, for life. Starting at midnight on January 7th, Regular Memberships will
begin selling at the standard price of $75 with a $35 annual renewal.
Renewals will come due each anniversary month from the date that the Membership was originally purchased.
Member benefits include daily variable discounts on products, as well as member appreciation
days and events. The Primary Voting Member and persons who live together in the same
household of the Primary Voting Member are entitled to the benefits of that membership. The
Primary Voting Member is entitled to participate in votes put out to the membership on various
decisions that pertain to the business.
Store hours starting January 19th are Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm, and Saturday 9am-5pm.
Additional information will be provided via the co-op membership newsletter, social media
channels and local press outlets. Additional information about the history of the project and
